Overall a great experience staying here. Bob and his wife Sue are very accommodating and friendly. Ask Bob anything and you will get a locals perspective. The rooms were fantastic, newly renovated, clean and modern with an old building vibe. Being smack dab in town had it's perks as we were able to walk to all of our planned excursion's. It can be crowded when the cruise liner folks disembark but the hot tip is make dinner plans after 6pm for crowd free enjoyment. That's seems to be when those cruise people head back to their ships. Will definitely come back again and definitely recommend staying here.

Our room was spacious and spotless. Very well appointed and nice to stay in. Internet was fast and internet tv has a multitude of viewing options. There are literally hundreds of stations to choose from. Building is very easy to find as it is located on the corner of 4th and Broadway and very recognizable. When you have parked you simply have to go into the Klondike General Store located in the same building and ask for the owner to get checked in. There was an excellent breakfast each morning in the breakfast room conveniently located to the rooms. We found the location excellent for exploring Skagway.

We're on a two month road trip and I booked this place in February for an August visit. Pros: Sizeable room with a view of the main street in town (fun to people watch but don't be a creep). We had a small mini fridge and microwave as well. Think of this as more of a bed and breakfast than standard hotel. Breakfast was available from 7am to 8 am and included coffee, oatmeal, cereal, fruit, yogurt, juice, as well as eggs and sausage. What a nice surprise to get our day started. It was very quiet despite being on the main drag and the bed was very comfortable. The central location is perfect for strolling in any direction. Cons: This place is hard to find. Bob reached out before we got there giving me directions to the building but I struggled to find the front door. *The door is up the st

This place is hard to find as there isn’t a name or number (no buildings are numbered in the main part of town) on the building. Skagway is absolutely nuts when there are four ships coming in at the same time, people all over the road, standing in the middle of the road taking photos and just a general throng of people totally unaware of their surroundings. You’ll find Bob in the General Store of the building which is on the corner of Broadway and 4th avenue. Someone gave an excellent tip of ringing Bob first - do that as he will tell you where to park if you are driving. Bob is an excellent source of information and offers all sorts of sightseeing tips and where to go for dinner, etc. (breakfast is included, but we slept in and missed it). The rooms are gorgeous and decor spot on, roomy b

Great respite from the hustle and bustle of Skagway streets when cruise ships are in. Conveniently located in town--close to AMHS dock, WP&YR railroad depot, and Klondike NHP. Very comfortable beds and Wifi works well. Bob is a Skagway resident and provided service above and beyond the call of duty.
