Great location by the water. The mussels were particularly memorable. Food was good, but definitely pricey. We sat outside on the deck/porch — if you are scared of bugs etc. I would recommend getting seated inside.
Amazing, hand crafted food & cocktails that were expertly thought out! Kitchen staff was so willing & able to accommodate food sensitivities, & our waitresses we had every time we came were on point! 100 stars!!
Given the prices, I expected way better food. I got the seafood stew ($40), partner got the steak and lobster ($70). It wasn't bad food but for those prices, I expected to be blown away. Partners steak was supposed to be medium but came out medium rare instead. We asked for a second drink that never came out. We got the broccoli as an appetizer which was highly recommended from the server and that was disappointing too. It just lacked flavor. The view of the ospreys was cool. The servers were all very friendly.
We have enjoyed meals here numerous times over the past handful of years and they have all been at least decent. The most recent experience (during their winter pop up) left something to be desired and I can’t see us making the trip again. I generally eat like a bird at dinner and can count on one hand the number of dinners out I haven’t needed to take home leftovers. The Osprey served me 5 bites of halibut and an equal number of bites of accoutrements and it was the first meal I can ever remember leaving hungry. This entree was $42. For 10 bites.
We visited for the first time last week and we're extremely happy! The owner sat us and took our drink order while engaging in friendly conversation (we didn't know he was at the time). We just wanted a drink by the water on our little drive on the coast. But glancing at the menu changed our minds. My husband got the clam chowder and said it was the best he ever had, (he's had a lot!) I had a appetizer that was kale, mushrooms over a cashew cream sauce. It was fabulous, exotic mushrooms fried as was the kale, no batter! It was top notch service, friendliness, food and atmosphere. These coastal businesses only have a few months to make it, stop over and support them!
