She was organized, responsive, and so thoughtful in helping us bring our vision to life, all while being respectful of our budget, which we greatly appreciated! We have been visiting The Mooring Oceanfront B&B on Georgetown Island in Maine for several years, and it has truly become our favorite family getaway to relax and reflect. We still remember the original host, Penny, whose cooking and warm hospitality made our earlier stays special. The current hosts, Karen and Todd, have continued that tradition with their own friendly personalities and kindness. They are always approachable, helpful with any questions or requests, and simply wonderful to chat with. A major bonus is that your stay includes a day pass to Reid State Park in Georgetown. We were at The Mooring with a large family group (all adults) who took over the entire inn to attend a nearby wedding. It was perfection. Our room was absolutely lovely and overlooked the water. All of the other rooms looked very nice as well, especially the downstairs room. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating and the service was great! Breakfast was absolutely lovely; we had a couple of dietary restrictions which they went out of their way to meet! A++

Absolute perfection in a location right on the water for a dream come true wedding in August 2025. The hosts were gracious albeit challenged wearing many hats and answering many calls. The Moorings host Karen prepared and served a grand New England buffet breakfast for the entire bridal party during our preparation morning. The cocktail hour featured plentiful fresh shrimp and cocktail sauce and a delightful selection of olives. A traditional new England clambake dinner featuring lobster, clams, corn and potatoes was lovely and tasty but not served hot enough. A magnificent celebration at a lovely venue. Highly recommended.

We stayed at this inn for a nearby wedding, joining a family group where we knew all the guests. The owner, Karen, warmly greeted me at the door, gave a tour of the charming home, and showed me to our spacious room with a private bathroom. Breakfast, included for both mornings of our stay, was exceptional. It featured fresh-baked breads, a variety of juices, bacon, eggs Benedict, frittata, and delicious coffee. The inn, owned by the same family since its construction, has a rich history that Karen shared with us, adding to the experience. We are looking forward to returning next year.
