The Original Steaks and Hoagies - Lorain

I don’t usually write reviews, but I got sick yesterday 30 minutes after eating their food. I normally get their fried cheesecake which I LOVE. But I decided to eat the loaded tots and cheese curds. I’m not a fan of cheese whiz so I didn’t eat all of the loaded tots. But I noticed 30 minutes later I got sick. I thought it was the flu. But upon further investigation I’m realizing it was food poisoning. The service wasn’t bad, but I would never eat there again.

I wasn’t going to come in because of the reviews but I’m glad I didn’t let them stop me, we ordered the ultimate and the whiz cheesesteak & fries and they were both soooooo good omg we will definitely be back! The person working the front was helpful and nice, I couldn’t even finish the whole sandwich I was full off the first half!

I think the portions are worth the money, and also I would say they are one of the better tasting chain options. I would and will definitely go back.

First and LAST time I'll ever go there. I asked twice how long it was going to be after sitting there for over 30 minutes. After the second time the guy from the back came out with a huge attitude and started yelling at me "you got a problem?!" i told him I'm just trying to figure out when I can expect our order since we've been waiting so long. Last time I was told about 5 minutes which has turned into 15.. He asked if I wanted a refund and before giving an answer walked away. Came back a minute later and says "good look with your burgers, hope they're done". I asked for a refund and the guy laughed and walked away. Refused to refund me. The sandwich wasn't even wrapped. Just tossed in the bag. The burgers weren't done. The fries were burnt. We threw it all in the garbage.

Food was delicious and service was quick especially being the first week this location is open. Please remember all food is MADE TO ORDER there are no warmers or pre cooked foods so its gonna take longer than 30 seconds to get your food. But the wait is well worth it. If you like REAL Philly Style Cheesesteaks this is the spot to go.
