The Original Egg - McAlester

Had one of the BEST breakfast experiences I've ever had here this morning. Desiree was my server and she was a PURE delight. Gracious, attentive, funny and friendly. My Baja Omelette was delicious - avocado, bacon 7 tomatoes. Sub the cinnamon roll pancakes for a side and you'll be in actual heaven!! SOOOO so good. Everyone was in a good mood - like a hometown gathering spot. Loved it so much.

Excellent food (I like my toast toasted darker,dark). Staff is Excellent. Atmosphere is excellent. They try to make your food how you order it. They allow changes to be made to your order. Just be nice,courteous, kind. Plant good seeds,sow good seeds. Thank you all.

My grandpa, uncle and I meet here every Sunday morning and have for the last 6 years. Food is always amazing, the staff is always incredible and the place is always spotless!

Stopped in twice for breakfast while staying in Mcalester and loved the food both days! The omelets were very good and the slow smoked bacon was delicious! The biscuits and gravy were also really tasty! Prices also aren't bad! It was busy both mornings but there was no wait either time and the food came out fast each time. I definitely reccomend stopping in if you havent yet or if you're just passing through.

Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Not so hard to decide is which came first, Jimmy’s Egg or the Original Egg. The Original Egg is not original. This place used to be a Jimmy’s Egg’s. I have never been in a Jimmy’s Egg, so I am not sure if the new owners have changed the restaurant much. All I know is that the food and service is good. My standard breakfast less hashbrowns. The order does include 2 biscuits. My wife had the pancake platter; one egg bacon and three griddle cakes. Big plus, a bowl of warm syrup. The pictures can almost be tasted. Great meals and easy to access from the highway in either direction.
