The New Country View Diner & Family Restaurant

First time trying out the diner and the service was SUPER fast even on a busy Sunday morning. It took us longer to decide what to eat then it did to get our food! The dessert case was packed and it was so hard to choose as everything looked delicious!

We went to this place on the way to Antique and glad we did. Small, clean local place. It's not fancy but good. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs with rye toast and hash browns. My wife ordered the Ham and egg croissant with the ham on the side and hashbrowns. Bolth where filling and delicious, I especially enjoyed their sausage gravy. I felt it was made in-house, The hashbrowns also had a really good potato taste and good texture.. Overall, this place killed it, quality diner. I would definitely go back.

Went there today for lunch. My wife and I both had the open face turkey platter. I must say it was one of the worst meals I have eaten in a restaurant. The mashed potatoes were at best ok. Not hot and fluffy but warm and pasty. The bread was dry and tasted stale. The turkey was ok but was only lukewarm. The waitress was very hurried and carelessly slammed our plates down on the table and left. Seemed rude and did not care or want to be there. The price was in line if the food and service were up to standard. We have been stopping here for years but because of the drop-off in food quality and service we will not be going there again.

Ordered the chicken salad club.. it looked appetizing, but I don’t believe it was authentic chicken salad. More like some lettuce mixed in with carrots & mayo. I would have appreciated the sandwich to at least have actual chicken salad on it.. I didn’t think you could mess it up.

Lovely, hometown-feel diner. Breakfast was delicious, cooked to perfection. Friendly staff. Wood and barn decor. Will be back! September 2023 update: we came back! Again, great home cooked meals. We had a large order and evening was correct. Breakfast served all day too. Yummy!
