The Motherland Cuisine

My first time eating here . Love the decor very small restaurant only one person to server and cook. The soup with fufu was flavorful , and spicy like I love. Big portions for the price. That was the plus of the restaurant The problem was that they were out of quite a few things I wanted to order with my meal. And I told my family to come purchase some food from here. They told me they order the chicken dinner and didn't get the other items that were supposed to be included with the chicken dinner. But they were still charging the same price instead of at a discount price because it wasn't a full meal as advertised. Now they are upset with me for suggesting this restaurant that cheated them. I'm appalled at why they did that?

This is not a review of a dining experience as I have never been to the Motherland and never will after the experience I had with a fraud dispute involving this restaurant. I had a very troubling experience with The Motherland African Cuisine restaurant related to a fraudulent credit card charge. My card details were stolen and the criminal (who the restaurant CEO refuses to disclose her name or appearance) placed an order on Thanksgiving day 2025 for pickup. The transaction was processed as a manually keyed, card-not-present entry. Rather than addressing this professionally, the business claimed I was lying and falsely stated that I personally picked up the order in Pennsylvania. I do not live in Pennsylvania and was not in the state on the date of the charge. I even provided security c

i've been to this restarunt 3 times prior to yesterday which was tuesday 1/6/26 and i was soo upset at the lack of service!!! the food is amazing tho!!! like really good! everything i get from here is always good but if the guy Devon which i think is the owner, if he is not there i will never patronize this place again!!!! i had my daughter from Houston who is Costa Rican come visit and she never had african food so i told her about this place! me her my wife and my father goes and we seat ourselves the lady was just soo rude and un attentive, didnt ask us did we want anything to drink, didnt come to our table to greet us, didnt cut the tv on or anything, we sat there for 13 mins until she came to the counter not our table but to the counter and asked us were we ready to order. we said no

First off by saying Dish I choose (Esgusi) was amazing first time ordering something other than Peanut butter stew ! Art and music was a whole vibe . The man (sorry forgot his name ) that greeted us and than made our delicious dishes was super polite and also very informative on any question I did throw at him about the dishes . Definitely will be returning 🫶🏽!

Ever since I’ve bought jollof rice from the motherland cuisine I’ve never stopped coming back and last night I’ve bought all of my family to come and try their jollof rice with red snapper and fried onions. and oh my goodness I’ve never tasted so many flavors in one platter and it was very huge. And customer service and the owners are very welcoming to their customers and me and my whole family loves it here and now the only place my kids want to eat is at the motherland cuisine because their obsessed and so am I . 10/10 come today at the motherland cuisine because they are great and they have wonderful people.
