The Mango Tree Indian Cuisine

Food here is mostly hit or miss. Chicken 65, Karam Podi Chicken, Benne Dosa, Uthappam, Podi Dosa were very good whereas malli chicken, mutton chukka were average. Biriyani, Chettinad chicken were also okayish. Beware of the quantity - It’s huge. So order cautiously. They had freshly made chickoo milkshake and mango lassi which were very nice. But Rasamalai was store bought (Costco I believe). Service was good.

I recently visited this authentic Indian restaurant, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. The flavors were rich, vibrant, and truly reminded me of home. Especially the South Indian delights thattu idli, sambar and mini idly tasted authentic The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. We had breakfast also lunch the next day. Their Briyani was outstanding. Salty and pepper baby corn is a must try in appetizer. Everything is so unique. I visited this restaurant from Houston., no restaurant in Houston matches the experience at Mango Tree. The food is very good here. We would have been recurring customers only if they could improve on their service. First time visited during weekend lunch time, service was fast and the food was at the table within 5 minutes of placing the order. Ordered to go next time weekend lunch, it took forever to get the parcel, they wouldn’t tell the right time and only kept saying few mins only to give it after 25 mins delay. Gave one more try for Friday Dinner time, took friends because of good food. The service was horrible!! They took appetizers and main course order at once. The food was not at the table even after one hour of placing the order, had to keep asking, servers were not even around, they would disappear at the blink of an eye even before you can reach out. Mango Tree is a fantastic restaurant that offers delicious food and a great ambiance. I tried the Chicken Lollipop, which was tasty, and the lamb chops, which were perfectly marinated and tender. The marina fish fry was the highlight of the appetizers. The butter chicken with butter roti, garlic roti, and naan were great entrees. I finished off my meal with a chocolate dosa and filter coffee. I highly recommend Mango Tree to anyone who hasn’t yet tried it.

We were on our way back home when we decito stop here and it was the best thing!! The staff was excellent and the food was beyond delicious for us. We tried a couple of things and did a takeout aswell!! Definitely go try it for yourself!!
