Really neat lunch spot in downtown Fremont themed around lunch pails. Look around- you may see your old lunchbox from childhood hanging on the ceiling or on a shelf on the walls! Deli style counter, menu is on the wall. Lots of choices here! Sandwiches made fresh, salads, soups, and sides. Service is friendly and food is brought to your table. Today we ordered a chipotle chicken melt and a veggie sandwich. The melt had a little kick- just the right amount of spice, grilled to perfection and the cheese was melted proportionally. The veggie sandwich was amazing. It had guacamole and hummus with lots of veggies. So many flavors!!! We wanted to try the dill pasta salad but they were all out (we were there later in the day) so we got the loaded potato salad, which was okay. You can buy cold cu
I’m giving them 3 stars simply based on the prices. I ordered 2 sandwiches, one was a sub, the other was a regular sandwich, 2 small pasta sides and 2 “kids boxes” that came with small bag of chips, cookie and a pudding cup, and my total was $49 plus tip🤯 now mind you I didn’t order chips or drinks with the regular sandwiches so imagine my surprise to see that total…
Tried the Ruben Spud and it was great. Dressing on the side for dipping. Super friendly staff!
What a lovely little place!! Have known about it for years but had never been before. Shouldn't have waited so long!!! Went in with my dad so he could utilize their "name of the day" offer and get a free menu item (super cool!!). I got a boxed lunch with the chicken ranch club (something like that). SO GOOD!! Came with chips, cookie, small side (and the half-a-sandwich). Pretty good value for the price, and quite filling! Very satisfied. We didn't stay in and eat but it's such a cozy little place, and so cute with all the old lunchboxes! 🥰 Will definitely go again, especially if the name of the day happens to be mine. 😉
I love this place for two reasons: 1. The Food 2. The People The sandwiches here are awesome! In fact, their Reuben actually convinced me that the sandwich is delicious. But the people are the reason I return. They are so nice and accommodating…something slowly dying in the food industry.
