We had a wonderful evening at Luke's Brasserie. From the very first moment, the atmosphere set the tone for an unforgettable dinner — stylish interior, pleasant music, and attentive service created a truly welcoming experience. Every dish was exceptional: both the meat, fish, and vegetables were cooked to perfection, preserving their natural flavors while adding refined accents in the presentation. The white asparagus were a surprise. They were harmonious and sophisticated. I'm not sure I have ever tasted a better prepared vegetable. The lobster cavatelli was simply one of the best we’ve ever tried — bright, briny, and perfectly balanced in flavor, with excellent texture and a presentation that highlighted the attention to detail. Luke’s is not just a restaurant, it’s an authentic gastron

We took friends for a family weekend and tried this place for the first time. Food was good, but portions were very small. There’s no value. Our bill for 6 including 20% tip + tax but not including drinks/alcohol was $615. We tried almost the entire menu and had to double some dishes. The yellowtail, the beans in the porchetta (but not the pork itself), the greens from the branzino, and the steak were good. Actually the beans were a bit on the salty side. The others were fair - the sauce on the shrimp overpowered, the scallops were well cooked but nothing special. The service was friendly, every time they brought out a dish, they forgot serving spoons for the dish and we had to wait. It’s supposed to be finer dining but the kitchen and front were not at all coordinated and it became really

Are you tired of booking a month in advance for Michelin-starred spots in Manhattan, following every one of their rules, only to end up with mediocre food? If your answer is YES, then Luke Brasserie is your salvation. I’ve been coming here for over two years, and owner Vincent is the real deal—no nonsense, no fluff. He focuses on doing things right and doesn’t get distracted by the noise. Sure, he can be tough to work with on the fine details, but he always delivers. And at the end of the day, that’s exactly the kind of attitude you want from a chef-owner. It’s about the food and the experience—and you won’t be disappointed. I think Vincent chose New Haven to find a little peace, but in the process, he’s turned some “French cuisine” next door into a punchline. Enjoy this place, New Haven

I wanted to leave a note to thank The Luke for the fantastic Thanksgiving meal. Circumstances this year led my family to look for a restaurant in the area rather than celebrate at home. Grateful we found the Luke; the whole team made the day so special and meaningful. The food was incredible—every item from the first salads to the half-turkey and steak was perfectly seasoned and executed. For the price at such a nice restaurant too, I was impressed with the generous portions. Thank you to the Luke team, and we’d highly recommend this restaurant to others for a holiday occasion!

This is the best meal I have ever had in my 40 years of life on this planet. Vincent really took care of us, as did our server Malia and even Abigail. The little touches made all of the difference. We came for my friend’s birthday and were greeted with sparkling wine. I highly recommend literally any dish but especially the Lobster cavatelli (generous portions of lobster), the scallops, and any dessert with granita. For cocktails, we loved the pear basil martini and the white Negroni.
