The Lucky Rooster

Good local dive next to the lake. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn’t busy. Got drinks within a few minutes but weren’t noticed to put our food order in for at least 20 minutes; luckily we weren’t pressed for time. Very much its own local vibe so take that as you will. Their chicken sandwich and burger were flavorful and I like how they season their fries. Would return. Only things I didn’t like were waiting to order and someone smoking near the door blew it into the restaurant.

Great people, and even better food. Went there for lunch and it was quiet and comfortable. Had the hot wings and nachos. Both great, but honestly some of the best wings I have had

I’ve always enjoyed The Lucky Rooster on Sandersville Road, but today’s visit was completely different. The food was fine, but the service was terrible. Our server was short, unwelcoming, and barely acknowledged us. It took a long time just to place our order, and when it was time to pay, she made us walk to the pickup window while other tables checked out right where they sat. She never smiled or made any effort to engage. It felt like we were treated differently than her regular customers. Really disappointing experience from a place that’s usually so good.

My husband and I really enjoyed eating here. We visited twice while we were staying at a campground close by. The restaurant has a really cool vibe and the food was great. We visited for lunch and once for dinner, sitting both inside and outside. We have to commend our server/bartender when we visited for lunch.. she was awesome and made great lemonade!! We will definitely visit again.

My husband and I went in for lunch today. We had not been back since they had the fire. We had such a great experience with Dawn! She was literally running everything inside and did it so flawlessly. The food was so good and service was excellent! So glad to have our little dive bar open again!
