Update: Chulitos has me in a chokehold. I've lost count on how many times I've returned. I've gained 5 lbs since they've opened. The food here is on point. The green salsa is perfect! The Mexican sweet bread is the best I've had in a long time. I will absolutely return again, and frequently.

After visiting Chulito Panadería Taquería Bakery in Shiloh Plaza three times, I can confidently say it’s one of the absolute best spots for tacos, burritos, and authentic Mexican dishes you just won’t find anywhere else. Every bite tastes homemade — fresh, flavorful, and made with real care. The in-house bakery is just as impressive, with pastries that are as beautiful as they are delicious. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the owners are two of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. Chulito is a true gem and an incredible addition to our city. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and stop in. Everything I’ve tried has been nothing short of amazing.

The quesabirria tacos were good, they were a little smaller than what I expected but they were flavorful. The sopes was ok, it tasted like something was missing but my fiance really liked it. He tried a concha and said that was really good as well. The horchata was disappointing to me but the host was super nice and didn’t charge us for it. This place was cute and reminded me of spots back home in Chicago, it felt comforting. We would definitely go back.
