Very delicious Cajun food, the best I’ve had in a very long time, and I travel quite a bit. This is a small town, but this place is truly a hidden gem. Best cornbread I’ve ever had, not dry, just perfect with some butter, oh my. The red beans and rice had great flavor, and the crawfish po’ boy was sooo good and full of flavor. Highly recommend. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Laissez les bons temps rouler (Let the good times roll!) In the wee hamlet of Barker, NY, who would expect to find cooked-from-scratch Cajun cuisine that transports your spirit straight to the parishes of Louisiana? Talk about lagniappe! Since opening in May 2025, Mark and Amy have shown they truly know Cajun cooking. The gumbo, crawfish étouffée, jambalaya, grits—every dish bursts with deep, soulful flavor that speaks of time, care, and tradition. My two food loves are soul food and Cajun—and this diner is the real deal. Worth a stop. Worth a special trip. You will absolutely not be disappointed.

This establishment does not offer dine inbut the food is delicious and tastes like proper southern fare. Ordered a bit of everything but the standout was the shrimp and grits. I have spent extensive time in the Carolinas and this is on par with family owned restaurants in the deep South. Well done!

Great addition to Barker NY! Amazing food, killer gumbo, awesome cornbread, super nice owners, reasonable pricing. 2 visits, one dine in and the other takeout. Nice asset to our community!

Just found this place and it's a shame that they're moving because my girlfriend and I loved it. I recommend the crawfish bread and the shrimp and grits. Service was also great and they bring the food out to your car.
