I work so hard and I needed to treat myself for my amazingness. I decided to order some jerk chicken, mac and cheese, and plantains from this spot. I ordered through DoorDash, so it was delivered right to my door. Delivery was smooth. My food was nicely packed. I loved that they put my Kola Champagne drink in a bag so it wouldn't crack or break. This food was so so good. You can tell from my pics and videos they BLESSEDDD me with a lot of chicken. I was able to split this into two servings: dinner today and lunch tomorrow. The chicken was so flavorful, and the mac and cheese was creamy in all the best ways and delicious. I wished they'd given me more mac and cheese and plantains, though. It was after 6pm on a Friday, and had a hankering for Caribbean cuisine; after looking up a few spots, decided to drive out to The Jerk Pit in College Park. Without traffic, it’s a quick 25-minute drive from the District. Additionally, it was great to pull up and see that they have plenty of parking. Surprisingly, there was no wait to order. There are a couple of options to order-you can order the traditional way with the cashier or opt for self-order from the tablet at the counter. I found HAIR in my food. The oxtail I ordered was mostly dumplings and beans as filler. They were salty and the few pieces of meat present were tiny and mostly bones. The jerk chicken was SEVERELY underseasoned and the seasoning was just sitting on the outside of the meat. The inside tasted like completely unseasoned chicken because the seasoning clearly didn't have time to penetrate. The plantains were hard and not fully cooked The chicken patty barely contained any actual chicken and was flat. The outside was so dry that the patty was cracking instead of flaky. They also gave me rice with no cutlery whatsoever but that's not really a big deal. How can you charge 46 dollars for bones, underseasoned and undercooked food and not even give me a fork or spoon for my rice? I am attaching

I place an order online and was told that the system was down and they didn't had any electricity and I'll have to wait. I provided the lady at the cashier with my phone so she was able to take a look at my order. Meanwhile I guy came through the door apparently he worked there he went to the kitchen and she started to tell him my order, he started to make the plates. My order was handed to me by the time I got home I reheated the food and began to eat the rice and peas was dried like it has been sitting for hours, the jerk chicken was stiff/hard the plantain were hard as well. Took dam near 2 hours for two platters they didn't put the yams in the platters and the portion for this much money is not worth it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE....the staff jus standing around laughing not caring about who's waiting on food not helping each other just a bunch of people in the back taking up space. I've never been to a Jamaica restaurant like this!!!!! the owner needs to do some serious staff rebuilding NOTHING PERSONAL JUST BUSINESS!!!!!
