The James Lee House

We recently stayed at the beautiful James Lee House, Our stay was amazing in every respect. The best part was the incredible host CC ! She truly makes the place and her gourmet breakfast is top of the top! We look forward to returning to The Lee house on our next visit to Memphis. Jay W & Lisa B

We wanted more than the usual upscale, box hotel experience and we received it 10 fold at the James Lee House. C.C. gave us a tour of the home upon arrival and we found the historic home beautiful, well kept, and will all modern amenities. The suites were clean, charming, with a remote control mattress to select your comfort level. The grounds were lovely and relaxing to sit on the porch and rock away. The streets were quiet which was a nice break from the loudness of Beale St. From the arrival to departure C.C. was there to offer activity and restaurant suggestions and serve a delicious breakfast each day! While we had a vehicle in their gated lot, we chose to ride share to and from our outings. Easy pickups and dropoffs at a miminum of the cost one might expect for a larger city. Chec

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our 2nd anniversary and to say this was a nice stay is an understatement. Everything about it was amazing. The room, the cleanliness, the homey feel, and everything else. The breakfast was incredibly delicious and made by C.C herself. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a laid back bed and breakfast downtown Memphis.

My husband and I selected the beautiful James Lee House as part of our exploration of bed and breakfasts across the country—and it didn't disappoint!|The property is absolutely stunning, located in the historic Victorian Village community. The home was ornate, historic, and beautifully appointed—a gorgeous testament to the home’s grandeur, with deep roots in history and culture. ||We stayed in the Crosley Suite on the first floor, which was ideal for us as it spared us from using stairs (there is no elevator). Our room was both elegant and comfortable, and the bed was especially restful. We stayed for two nights during the weekend trip. It’s a great house - very historic and well kept by CC, the inn keeper. Our room was spacious and cozy at the same time. CC was great from the start of sharing the instructions for the check in to breakfast.
