The Inn at Forest Oaks is a gorgeous 19th century home situated on a hill at the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains which the owners, Cliff and Chris, have restored very closely to its 1920s appearance and turned into a welcoming B&B. The mansion is a visual feast for the eye, capturing that Great Gatsby roaring 20s vibe, with museum worthy pieces throughout the house. ||Each room is decorated with careful attention to period details while also offering modern comforts. We stayed in the Gunston room, which was cozy and comfortable with an en suite bath that included an original claw foot tub. ||Every morning, we woke up to strong coffee (or hot tea if you prefer) and Chris' delicious, full breakfast, usually with a baked good Chris has made himself. If you want a wonderful experience of Southern Hospitality this is the place. Cliff and Chris not only provided a welcoming atmosphere the breakfasts were the STAR. The house is beautifully decorated with period furnishings making you feel like you should be sippin' Mint Juleps while rockin' on the porch overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. The breakfasts were 5-star quality. We were there for 4 nights and each breakfast was unique, hot, home-made and delicious! HIGHLY RECOMMEND whether just for one night passing thru or for a few days.
