The Incorporated Village Of Floral Park Building Department and Public Works

Poor excuse of a building department. Difficult to near impossible to get help from the self-entitled women here that are well past their retirement age (not an exaggeration). The building inspector really needs to go!! He basically stalks the neighborhood. He passed by my house at least 6 times in the last 2 weeks and not to mention, he caused so much trouble to myself and 4 of my neighbors over the years. Let residents live in peace! It isn't cheap living here

Worst building dept ever and I've experienced some real cruddy ones! Firstly the ordinances and the codes are ridiculous here. Private property is so heavily regulated here that it is beyond bureaucracy to the point where it is basically fascism. The department designs your house for you in its own archaic and conservative image trying to maintain a 1940's look. Pathetic!!! People want modern and efficient homes, not 20th century trash! They design your house and charge you excessive property taxes in return and you can't even get your dream house built here. Furthermore, the trustees needs to broom the churlish, non-helpful, and extremely non-responsive superintendent (who doesn't even live in Floral Park) but more importantly the sole building inspector really needs to leave and retire

Try to call them and ask for a question and see how polite they are Lady on the phone extremely rude not even allowing you to ask question,
