The Hungry Mule

Absolutely loved our experience at Hungry Mule! I had the Greek roasted chicken, and it was hands down the best chicken I’ve ever had, so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The Greek roasted potatoes were just as amazing and complemented the dish perfectly. My husband ordered the Diablo burger and couldn’t stop raving about it. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel really welcome from start to finish. We’ll definitely be coming back again soon!

Food overall was very good. We ordered for takeout and had the pear and walnut salad, cheese curds, cowboy burger, New Orleans chicken sandwich, and kids chicken tenders and fry’s. I asked for the burger to be medium well, and my burger was honestly almost medium rare. They forgot to include the fry’s and drink that comes included with the kids meal. We do not live close enough to return back to fix the mistakes. For fast casual, it is on the pricier side ($17 for a burger), so to have these problems was disappointing.

Small dinning room where you order at the counter and get table service. Got a "Surf and Turf" burger that had a crab cake on top. Served with arugula and sauce on a brioche bun. I chose basmati rice for a side and got cheese curds as an appetizer. The curds were quality cheese, not overly fried and the breading was intact. I would reccomend the Chipotle Ranch for dipping. The rice came with a red sauce on top and was excellent. A great side option woth lots of flavor. Now, the burger. The meat lacked a lot of flavor. I didn't get much besides the actual grilled ground beef taste. It needed something else to help it, perhaps just some more salt and pepper. I ordered it medium and got it cooked exactly how I would expect. The crab cake, sauce, and arugula is what made this burger decent. I

The place was nice in terms of decor/look, seating area looked clean. That's about the only good things I can say. The bathrooms were disgusting. Reeked strongly of urine, fluids splashed on the seat and toilet paper on THE FLOOR next to the toilet. Took over 20 minutes to get our food and when it finally came, it was cold! Cold fries, cold sandwich. On top of it all, we bought an extra order of "SKIN ON FRIES" and to our surprise, they were regular skimpy frozen fries. I mentioned it to the server when the food finally came and he said "yeah, the menu says skin on fries but they're just regular fries". So they lie lol. Wow what an unexpected treat. Stopped here almost by accident while in the area. It happened to be martini Friday and a fun gentleman named Armando was behind the bar. Hands down one of the best lemon drops I've ever had. Grilled Octopus was the appetizer on that specials menu. Absolutely amazing. Super bright and fresh. I ordered the Chicken Club for lunch with the Greek Potatoes. 10/10 would recommend. Definitely planning to stop here next month when we're in the area again.
