Maiz Taqueria

Really nice food! We gave this place a try after seeing the good reviews as it’s a fairly new addition to the area. We ordered for pick up and service was really friendly and quick over the phone and food was ready in about 10-15 minutes. We tried the Asada and pastor tacos, enchiladas mole, quesadillas and all were excellent! They gave us their chorizo quesadillas a try as well and that was super tasty and had a nice kick with the green verde salsa. Guacamole was also excellent.

The BEST Tacos and Burritos in Deer Park! I can't recommend Maiz Taqueria enough. I went for the Al Pastor Burrito, and it was incredible—perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. Beyond the delicious food, the service is top-notch. The staff was so polite and patient while I decided, and my order came really fast. It really makes all the difference. A must-visit for any taco lover!

Maíz in Lake Zurich is an absolute hidden gem. From the outside it might look like a small hole-in-the-wall spot, but don’t let that fool you — the food is outstanding. This is authentic Mexican street food done right. The pastor tacos are insane — perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and packed with that classic street-style taste. The ribeye tacos are unbelievably tender and cooked to perfection. Every bite tastes fresh and authentic. On top of the amazing food, the customer service is 10/10. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and makes you feel right at home. Finally, a genuinely good Mexican takeout spot in Lake Zurich. Highly recommend.

My husband and I ordered the Steak and Al Pastor taco dinner. The steak was very delicious and tasted fresh. Everything was made to order and service was fast and friendly. The owner even brought over some delicious appetizers on the house! The Al Pastor was tender, seasoned well and possibly one of the best Al pastor tacos I’ve had in a very long time. (It had a hint of pineapple which was a nice touch). I also have to include that the salsa paired really well with the tacos, too. The video speaks for itself! We will be coming back! 10/10 experience overall ⭐️
