The House of William and Merry

Food was delicious. It was an experience. Would I go back? Probably not, but ONLY because its just too elevated for my simple, down home palette. 💓 Again delicious, just not my cup of tea.

I traveled over an hour with a group of friends to visit The House of William and Merry for our annual holiday outing and trip to Longwood. From the moment we walked in the door, I was impressed. The food, the service, the atmosphere - all of it was fantastic. First - let's start with the staff. Ive been to a lot of restaurants over my life and can say that I dont know if Ive ever encountered an all around A+ staff and service. Every staff member - from the gentleman who warmly welcomed and sat us, to our knowledgeable and attentive waitress, to the talented Chef and his supportive staff bringing the food to the table - were top notch. You could tell they really enjoyed their jobs and were proud of what they did. Our waitress seemed to naturally address every question or need before

Came for a romantic evening with my boyfriend. The service was fantastic. Maddy was attentive, knew the menu inside and out and made the experience enjoyable. The food was absolutely fantastic from the cook to the presentation! Being in someone’s house brought that warm cozy vibe which was extremely wonderful. We will definitely be returning.

Great place. Foos is always tasty AND interesting, and service is welcoming and good. Their duck breast is fantastic - we get it every time. Foie Gras was better than the one I tried at other places. We also ordered Kaluga Caviar Seared Scallops. Scallops were great overall, but I felt that black caviar was not really adding much to the dish in terms of taste - just making it a bit more salty and not standing out, but simply blending with the taste of scallops and getting lost in it. We tried Pork Tenderloin and Waguy Flank Steak this time and liked both.

What a great family run restaurant. We sat at the bar which has a great view of the open kitchen! Great cocktails and amazing food.
