The Hotel Magnolia LLC

We had supper at the beautiful Magnolia Hotel last night, 2/20/26. Sarah was our server and she was wonderful. I have an extreme seafood allergy and she went all the way downstairs to ask them to prepare something besides seafood for me. My ribeye steak was wonderful and practically melted in my mouth. Sarah was so warm and personable. She was attentive to our table and we enjoyed her immensely!! The hotel itself is beyond breathtakingly, beautiful! Well, kept in maintained. A “must” visit!!

On a rainy December day we decided to take our first visit to the hotel’s restaurant. The lunch menu was variant reasonable. The hamburger steak serving was large and tasty and came with 2 sides. The pan seared salmon was delicious and juicy and served with 2 sides. Unfortunately we did not have room for dessert.

Positive: I liked the historical feel of this property. Negative: Room was extremely small, no closet to hang your clothes, very minimal lighting, there was no TV, they only had streaming and internet was down half of the stay, water leaked everywhere in bathroom.

We had an outstanding experience at the Hotel Magnolia restaurant last evening. The Filet Mignon was prepared perfectly and full of flavor. My wife had her heart set on a Salmon main, but it did not appear on the menu that night. Our server, Sarah, said she would check the kitchen to see if they had any from the previous menu which they did. So she offered to have that prepared which was a very caring gesture of taking care of the customer. Following dinner, we told owner Diana what a wonderful experience we had had, and commented on the beauty of the hotel facilities. Unexpectedly, Diana then took us on a tour of the beautiful, old hotel explaining the history of the building and highlighting many of the beautiful antique furnishings therein. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food & service was amazing! Even the pricing was reasonable! There were 6 of us and our waitress Sarah was the best! We ordered the red snapper & shrimp, smothered in a crawfish cream sauce. OMG, it was sooo delicious! Sarah was so attentive to our needs & a fellow Illinoisan. We will come back! 🙏🏻❤️
