The Honey Baked Ham Company

As the name says, ham is what makes them stand out. My husband and I went here on a Sunday afternoon because his company gave him a gift card for the holidays. The Place: Super simple—nothing fancy—but it was clean, organized, and had enough space between tables. There are only a few seats, mostly for small groups of up to four. It’s the kind of place where you grab something quick or take it to go. What We Ordered: BBQ Smoked Stacker Sandwich: Quality, tasty ham that was very fresh. For me, it had too much barbecue sauce, but despite that, it was good. The Honey Baked Sandwich: Also made with quality, tasty ham. It was fresh and delicious—I liked this one more than the BBQ sandwich. Side of Broccoli Bacon Bliss: It was okay, but the portion was very small. I wouldn’t order it again. W

This is my go-to place for half hams for special events where I need to provide food. Their honey baked hams with the sugary crust are so delicious, and their quality has remained great and consistent. I usually end up getting sides here as well, typically the mac and cheese (which is super tasty). It cuts down on the amount of food I have to cook, and saves me so much time. They have a good set up for busy pick up days. There are 3 separate lines, one for orders placed in advanced, one for general pick up, and a line for leaving the store. It is very efficient and I am usually in and out within one minute.

I ordered a Ham for Christmas as I do 3very year, and every year I keep going back to Hiney Baled Ham in Summerville SC. Their Hams are so tasty and the are prepared just the way you would want them. I ordered a 10lb Ham to feed a family of 14, it was plentiful and we even had leftovers after some of the family members took some home with them. I am certain that a 10 pounder would probably feed 18-20 people. I highly recomend Honey backed him for group dinners or for the eat in lunch and dinner options!

The staff at summerville location were very nice and helpful. This is our second Christmas with a disappointing ham (this year worse than last). Spent over $100 for a ham with no flavor. This year's ham had none of the sugar crusted goodness on it. Extremely disappointed with the lack of quality.

The staff at this location have the ham pickup queue running like a well oiled machine. My only concern is some of the extra product along the line doesn't have expiry dates so I'm trusting the corp. office sent them fresh product. We'll find out tomorrow I guess!
