Great food and atmosphere at a great price at Retama Park's new eatery. Fried Green Tomatoes were so delicious I forgot to take a photo first. Google maps may try to route you through the stable gates, just ignore that and go to the normal frontside parking lot. You can take side walk in front of the main gateway right to the restaurant. We had the brisket grilled cheese and the smashburger. Delicious! Check it out!

The Hitching Post is such a great hidden gem in our area! The food was absolutely delicious and you can tell everything is made with care. The atmosphere is cozy, relaxed, and welcoming, which makes it the perfect place to unwind after a long day or meet up with friends. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe just feels very local and authentic. It’s so nice to have a spot like this close by that offers great comfort food, cold drinks, and a laid-back Texas feel without the crowds. If you haven’t been yet, I highly recommend checking it out and supporting this awesome local business. We will definitely be back!
