The Historic Alma House

This place was exactly what I was looking for. A beautiful winter getaway, in a beautiful historic house. The owner of the hotel what is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was amazing! But the best part was mocha the friendliest golden retriever I have ever met. I will definitely be coming back.

Considering the house is 127 years old, it was delightful! The host, Matt, was very welcoming as was mocha, the golden retriever. We stayed in room 1, which had a queen bed and a twin with a trundle bed for the 2 kids. The cold water in the shower was a bit stuck, but still felt great after a day of hiking. The kids thought the bathroom needed a bit of work, but they said the bed was comfy and amazing. ||Breakfast was 10 out of 5 according to my 10 year old. My 8 year old loved the waffles and the fact that the dogs came to visit. ||Location was amazing. Easy to walk to all the montrose sites.

We had such a lovely stay at The Alma House Inn! The house is nice, the town was very pleasant and well located for our hike. Thanks to Emily who welcomed us and was very kind. We loved meeting the house's two little mascots, Sophie and Moca - they're so adorable! Delicious breakfast to get the day off to a good start.We'll be sure to recommend the Inn!

This place was actually killer, I loved the Victorian aesthetic of the building (built in 1898) and it definitely feels like a blast from the past. The host was amazing and made us a stellar breakfast of pancakes/eggs/ sausage patty and served us coffee and orange juice. They have bikes available to ride around town with and also have a hot tub in the back yard. I loved every minute of our stay and can't wait to come back again next year! (:

This Inn deserves all the 5 star reviews you see. The Inn was clean, and Matt was very kind and accomodating. This was our first ever stay at a bed and breakfast and I'm not sure another could live up to this. The atmosphere is Victorian-relaxing with a beautiful backyard with a hottub and sitting area. We relaxed outside at night after a day of hiking and it was a wonderful way to end the day. Matt makes you feel at home and breakast was great! Additional perk is Mocha, their dog, such a sweet boy! Definitely would like to stay here again.
