The Highlawn

The Highlawn is a beautiful upscale restaurant perfectly nestled at a high point with amazing views of Jersey City and the Manhattan skyline. The restaurant is elegant and romantic, which is perfect for a date night or just a nice evening out with family or friends. We started with an appetizer of meatballs, which was perfectly seasoned and a great start to the evening. Our entrees were Lamb Chops and Strip Steak, both very tender and delicious. The Blueberry Crumble dessert was amazingly tasty and a great end to our meal. Service at the Highlawn was amazing. Shakira, the host, and our server Charles, are both outstanding and add to the wonderful experience at the restaurant.

We just had our wedding there this past weekend and I CANNOT say enough about this place!!! Btwn communication with Gianna and the GM Joel, they made our day amazing! The food was absolutely unbelievable & drinks were even better!!! All our guests keep ranting and raving about it. I’m so glad I chose this venue to host the best night of our lives!!!

The view is the draw but the service and quality of food outshines it. Our server was knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. Apps: smoked black cod roll was SENSATIONAL! The smokiness was perfectly balanced and tied the other parts of the sushi together perfectly. The soft shell crab was also delightful but I enjoyed the smoked black cod better. Sugar snap peas was perfectly cooked and not over seasoned and had a lovely crispness. The whipped mash was a pleasure. Porterhouse was impressive and worth the price. Dessert was also perfection. I think I’ll be back here many more times

Spectacular views of New York City , and it neighbors the stinning 9/11 Memorial - best location in Northern NJ! The venue, service and views are 5 Star !!!

Went for Birthday celebration. Restaurant was more than accommodating wishing my partner happy birthday at the check-in stand and several times once we reached the table. We both received complementary pink champagne upon seating. we were seated facing a huge exterior window, which looked out onto the sparkling lights of New Jersey in the foreground and the New York City skyline in the background… The absolute, perfect setting! Upon being seated, my partner wasgiven a happy birthday card and a fizzling torch embedded in decorated chocolate chip ice cream after dinner. The drinks we ordered were unique and delicious.
