I just ate lunch at Kim’s Sushi in West Orange, N.J. I had Miso soup, Seaweed salad , the house salad with ginger sauce, Valentina Tuna Belly Special Roll, Spicy Crispy Crunch roll and orange sections. I am so glad that I was really hungry. Everything was superb. Mouthwatering delicious. The food was great and the service was friendly and excellent. I highly recommend Kim’s Sushi.
Definitely the best sushi i’ve had we had the sushi platter special with a boat on the house! good first impressions they had excellent food quality tasted fresh!
I love coming to Kim’s Sushi! Hands down the best sushi in NJ and the service is always incredible. My favorite is the Zensu Roll and Crazy Spicy eel (don’t worry it’s not crazy spicy, just crazy delicious!). The hospitality is unmatched, the waitresses are always so attentive and polite and the chef usually sends over a complimentary item with your meal in addition to the complimentary house salad and miso soup served to guest at the beginning of your dining experience!
I've been buying sushi here for a while, and they were not bad. However, today I placed an order, picked it up in 15 minutes, and it was terrible. Honestly, I'd say that sushi from Whole Foods or King’s at the end of the day would be better than what I received from Kim’s today. Did you change chefs? The quality seems to have dropped significantly. The pieces were all different shapes, fell apart easily, the rice was dry, and the fish didn’t taste fresh at all. The only good thing was miso. I spent $89 and ended up with a stomach ache. I’ve recommended you to my friends and neighbors, and now I feel I need to apologize.
We had a satisfying eat out experience at Kim’s Sushi, West Orange 2 years ago. Since we are celebrating at home, we ordered take out this time. Pick up was a breeze. Picking it up at the counter is a line. The food is as disappointing, honestly. We were discussing at the table, was this a result of inflation - jacking up price and lowering the quality of food? The Kani salad that was $5.95 (now $10 in East Gate, Verona) is $15.99. But that’s okay since I didn’t have it for awhile. The regular sushi is a disappointment - the 6 tuna rolls are as small as the one I buy in cafeteria and the sushi are also small with thin slices of fish. ShopRite has better more appealing and delicious, bigger sushi plate for $29 than what I got from Kim’s. The serving tray is the size $7-9 take out from cafet
