The Harbor Cafe

Usually I try to order ham & cheese omelettes when I visit diners, but this diner's price for that dish is not competitive with other diners. So I opted for the egg/sausage/hash browns/toast plate. I ordered coffee initially (the cup is HUGE), but my server didn't bring any creamers or give me a spoon to stir it (??). She was friendly, but did not top off my coffee or ask me if everything was ok. The utensils were mismatched, again a pet peev of mine. The coffee and food were good, no complaints there. The atmosphere here was very loud and cold (unusually so). Their only bathroom is unisex, and the bathroom door was 3 feet from the nearest table (gross!!!). Been twice, waitress didn't know what came with the orders. She was honestly a total sweetheart. She was unsure of what comes with your order.. The cook has absolutely no clue how to make true barbacue. Second time.... Do not order the home fries. No flavor! If I'm paying 25.00 for 2 and the bacon in the omelets weren't even cooked the same. Wasn't asked what toast I wanted. That was my fault 😪

Update- great breakfast! Love the pancakes and French Toast! Super friendly staff. Awesome place! Original post: Great stop in Twin Harbor when you need a quick bite to eat. They've done a great job with a new menu, good service and nice decor. Had the meatloaf and it was pretty good!

Good food at reasonable prices. The patty melt, grilled chicken salad. I can't decide which is best. Good breakfast too.

Such a wonderful place. Food is cooked to order. Fresh and they take debit now.
