The Grille At Crosswater

I had the surf and turf special, fried oyster with 8 oz filet. It was exceptionally delicious. I sat in the bar area, a bit more lively than the dining room for a solo diner. The service was quick and the servers & host were incredibly nice. I took the complementary shuttle from Sunriver Resort, so unsure on parking. Most diners were in golf attire or dinner casual.

We had a 6:30pm reservation and were honestly about ready to leave. We sat for 25 minutes after receiving menus and our waters. Kristen ended up taking over as our waitress and she was AMAZING and completely turned our experience around. We each had a special. My husband had the blackened halibut with a potato leek and spinach sauce. I had the braised rack of lamb with a bean pate and Brussels sprouts. Both of our meals were cooked to perfection and deliciously mouth watering! We ended the night with the Blondie dessert curtesy of Kristen. If you go be sure to ask for Kristen and tip her well!

We had a wonderful dinner here from start to finish. Starting with crab fondue and martinis. The salmon dish was amazing, the salmon was moist and perfectly done, the beurre blanc sauce was delicious. Prime rib was a little over done to our liking but still very good.

Um...what you feel when you walk in is how your experience will be. It has the feel of an old folk's home. Should be so much more. Servers are nice but scattered and not knowledgeable on the menu. Filet was overpriced for what it was. Most of the food was under-seasoned. Old fashioned served on cocktail ice. Overall not bad but not polished. We expected a better experience.

Food is good, the place is very nice. Service is good but it is like in any other restaurant, i would expect a bit of a better service here. Service at “The Lodge Kitchen” was actually better than here and this one is a “nicer” place. Facilities are nice, beautiful place to see the night.
