Hot Lava Bakery

Hot Lava Bakery offers a great atmosphere, perfectly fitting for the Sunriver area. The pastries and coffee are great, but the cakes are even better! Cecilia helped us with our gender reveal cake for our first baby and we could have not asked for a better experience. She was great to brainstorm with and quickly delivered us a magical cake for such a special moment.

I’m obsessed with this place. It is SO good! This will be our first stop on our next trip to Sunriver. The bigfoots are so funny and good! The chocolate chip cookie is one of the best I’ve ever had. The Oreo cupcake is also amazing. Honestly everything is good here.

I can't express my gratitude to Hot Lava Bakery! We had a VERY last minute, LARGE request....they pulled it off! The quality was amazing. The selection had everything you could imagine. Everyone had their favorite! Our send off party was a hit! And the pastries were the a sweet bonus for a bittersweet goodbye. Thank you again!!!!!

Excellent breakfast sandwiches and pastries! Sandwiches are made fresh and to-order, so they can take a while. But your patience will be well paid off! We got the Mountain Man Sandwich on a Croissant (ham, sausage, bacon, cheddar, egg, onion and chipotle sauce, $12.50) and a Lava Sandwich on a Cheese Bagel (ham, egg, cheddar, red onion and jalapeños, $11.75). Holy heck, they were totally worth the price and tasted awesome. The Lava Sandwich was full of jalapenos that did give a lil bit of a kick, so beware! Of course, I had to grab some sweets, we picked up the iconic Big Foot Donut ($3.75) Dulce de Leche Turnover ($3.75) and a Marionberry Strudel ($5.50). This place has the best doughnuts! We always visit when in Sunriver. Limited inside seating (1 table), so bring a jacket if it’s cooler.
