The Green Bowl

Yum! The Green Bowl quickly became a favorite for takeout when we lived nearby. Quality ‘not-so-fast’ food freshly prepared by a family owned business is absolutely worth the wait. Favorites include salads, salmon sandwiches (both options are excellent), breakfast sandwiches, chickpea mash, arepas and empanadas. Never had empanadas with cornmeal crust before and they are sooogood. Only disappointment was the fried chicken, best to stick with house-made items like pernil, anything Dominican, and I want pickled onions on everything! My tummy says thank you 😋

Had high hopes for this place only Dominican spot for miles, I asked for no olives apparently he read extra olives, put the worst looking avocado in there and then I open my arepa to a raw arepa and not melted cheese 😡 so disappointed 30 minute wait for the food only client at the location so they weren’t even busy. Very disappointed

The pernil on yucca fries are amaaaaaazing. I’ve been craving them since last time I was here. The atmosphere feels fun and laid back too!

This quiet and cute spot offers clean eating and a casual atmosphere tucked just outside of Beacon city limits. At the moment of this review I bought a Mediterranean salad with a soda and added chickpeas with a total cost, including a $2 tip, of $18. Yes, a little expensive, but unfortunately that is this part of the country.

We order from this restaurant often through work. My husband 1st time tonight. We were charged 30$ came in to hear they refunded us and now owe 75$. The owner blamed the computer. 2 chicharom with rice, empanda and quesillda 75$ the owner dropped to 60$. He really didn't have a good explanation other than computer issue. Sadly won't be back . Its a shame it is cute place food normally good
