The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill - Oakland Park, FL

I ordered the Great Greek Gyro combo with French fries as well as the Hummus. Everything was amazing. I went to Egypt earlier this year and discovered a fundamental difference between hummus in the middle east and Mediterranean region compared to what we have in the States. Finding good hummus in America is not easy.(This is only the second place I have found in America with exceptional hummus) Having said that, the hummus is on par with what I have found in my travels.

Ordering food was easy, I ordered the lamb medium. It was definitely well done either that or the worst cut of lamb possible. Food was seasoned well and was still warm. Maybe next time order the lamb rare and it might come medium. Wont try red meat there but overall was ehhh.

I was really craving Mediterranean food and wanted to give this place a try. Honestly as soon as they brought the plate out, I was disappointed. Nothing is fresh made here. You can tell the falafel fell out a plastic bag, as well as the 30 sec microwave rice pilaf, and the bread... none of its fresh. It's all bland and soggy. I don't even want to eat this. Ate one falafel and walked out. This is not Greek food!

I absolutely love this spot! It's such a gem! I've tried the Avoolemono Soup, Salmon plate, shrimp skewer kids plate and baklava and everything was perfect! The food is flavorful, portions generous and so tasty! 😋 the staff is super friendly and the place is always clean! If you love Greek food as much as I do, you MUST visit The Great Greek! I highly recommend! 🙌

My Friend has been here before so I decided to give it a try. Boy! This was a great find. Yuliana was wonderful showing me the kiosk to look at samples of the dishes. I had the Avgolemono Soup and the Athenian burger. The soup was fresh and hot (not spicy but not served at room temperature). The burger was delicious. I'm coming back.
