The Goshorn House

We stayed 2 nights here, and will definitely be back. Spacious, bright, clean, and plenty of privacy. Greg and Greg were friendly. The pool was an added bonus (although only 76 degrees because of a faulty heater--replacement ordered). We walked to eat at Everyday and Respite, had nice runs, and were very happy with our visit to Douglas beach and wandering in Saugatuck. We prefer the quaintness of Douglas to the busy streets of Saugatuck, so will visit again!

Stayed here for a weekend and loved it. The studio is beautiful and with everything you need. The owners were so nice and even let my dog stay with me. Will be back!

Having been to Saugatuck before for a short weekend getaway and a few day trips, I had never really explored Douglas before at all. So, in searching for a place to stay, The Goshorn House was a spot I stumbled across online and we decided to give it a try. Well, what a great idea, if I do say so myself! LOL. || The place has been meticulously planned, without being over the top gaudy. Think about comfortable, quiet and tranquil...those are the hallmarks of the suite. Our hosts were easy-going, extremely helpful and very eager to make our stay a memorable one. No doubt we are planning to go back again, next year in the Summer where we can enjoy the pool in the wonderfully private backyard.|| In terms of location, the place cannot be beat. My partner and I decided we needed to escape from the hustle and bustle of Chicago city life and decided to check out the Saugatuck/Douglas area for a relaxing getaway. Boy, did we get it! The Goshorn House looked appealing from the pictures we saw online; however, pictures just don't do it justice! We arrived to find a guest suite with a living room area, bedroom area, full kitchen, and dining area, as well as a nice-sized bathroom...all for us! The guest suite is a studio and was huge and very nicely decorated, as well. The Gregs also had a pool that we were welcome to use and the location could not be beat (close to the beach, the dunes, etc.). Having never been to the area, we didn't know what to expect; however, we were SO glad we didn't stay in the madhouse that is Saugatuck.

I found this place by accident, I got lost and turned in here to turn around. Great icecream. I'm glad I got lost.
