The George Manor

We were absolutely blown away by the accommodations and hospitality ! From making the reservation to after we checked out, they were beyond amazing. And the food, my goodness ! Do yourself a favor and reserve dinner there, Chef Michael has a true gift ! And don’t skip their breakfast either. We booked another stay before we ever left. Such an amazing place and people !

This is a MUST for anyone visiting Galveston! We were greeted right away, told some of the history about the place and then taken to our room/suite. The room was perfect - quiet, roomy, has a kitchenette, etc. The parking is right out front... We slept like a baby! The breakfast that we were served was both fantastic and outstanding! I would highly recommend George Manor and we will most definitely be back before our next cruise. Close to the cruise terminals. A 10 star Bed and Breakfast if you ask me... Thanks!

We were staying 3 nights in Galveston and I wanted a place to stay that had character and history. I found it in The George Manor. We had beach time for sure, walking along the beach in the morning and evening, and attending the sandcastle building festival. The George had walking proximity to all of the historic sights, the Strand, restaurants (Katie’s Seafood is a must), and the wharves. The rooms had been updated within the last few years and were comfortable, and the English Breakfasts were a real treat. And the history went deep! Michael, Rosie, and Jeff made sure we had everything we needed, and we got the history. Built in Maine and shipped to Galveston, The George Manor was completed in 1865, weathered the 1900 Storm, and still has stories to tell. The owners have a shop ne

George manor is fantastic. They made us feel so cozy. I loved feeling like I was stepping into a movie :) I loved sitting in the dining area while they brought us breakfast. I liked that we got to experience the history of Galveston in an historical manor. The location was great, in walking distance to the Strand and cruise terminals. Thanks George Manor!

The staff was amazing and super welcoming. The property is historic and very cool if you are a history fan. The location is walking distance to the great dining and entertainment venues. The reason for the 4 star review is the property is suffering from noticeable deferred maintenance and is great need of some love. I would hate for such a fantastic property to fall into disrepair
