The Funky Frenchie (Lemon Grove)

Wow, what an absolute gem! I tried this new spot today, and I was blown away by the value and quality of each item we ordered. I tried the Cheesesteak with fries; the roll was perfectly toasted, and the meat was incredibly flavorful. My friend had the Avocado toast and added an over-medium egg. Both portions were gigantic, and the price was about $14 each. We also both tried the Funky Lemonade, which was awesome and not overly sweet. Bring your dogs. It was a great experience, and the staff was terrific.

Was recommended to the place by a friend, the food and service didn’t disappoint! The burrito was just amazing and my husband got Da Bomb and he loved it.

This is a nice family owned breakfast and lunch restaurant in Lemon Grove. It recently took over a long time deli in the area. I came in for breakfast and ordered their house breakfast burrito for $13 plus tax. The burrito came on a sun-dried tomato and red pepper flour tortilla, and came filled with scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, and cheddar Jack cheese. I liked that they toasted the tortilla well on the hot griddle after they wrapped the burrito. The eggs were well seasoned nicely, the bacon was tasty, and the hash browns were good. I would have liked a little more cheese in the burrito however. It was a very good breakfast burrito and I would order it again. They offer a good amount breakfast and lunch items, not to mention coffees and a handful of signature French Toasts. There
