Grove Grinder

First ever at this establishment. I ordered a whole turkey sandwich to go. The sandwich was very well made and fresh! Couldn't have asked for a better experience. I'll definitely be back to order and enjoy their food!

The people that work here are amazing. Even when they’re super busy, they take the time to chat, even the guys in the back that make the sandwiches say, “hello” The Godfather is hands-down the best sandwich. I order it every time. Two bottles of craft soda and a Godfather that is the ticket to a happy lunch. I do have one problem, but it’s not with them. It’s with me remembering that they’re closed on Mondays. Heck, they’re even making homemade brownies now.

This is definitely a gem! Super cute little place with a ton of different soda varieties. Absolutely loved the old Knick knacks and deco. The portion sizes are huge! If you order a full sandwich be prepared to save some or share with a friend. Ingredients were fresh and bread was perfectly soft. The Mac salad had all the right ingredients but was missing some flavor. I added a little salt and pepper and it was good to go! I love this place and will definitely be back

As someone who enjoys a good sandwich, I was excited to visit the Grove Grinder Sandwich Shop in Lemon Grove, California. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by the friendly staff. One of the things that stood out to me was the generous portions. The whole sandwiches were large enough to share with someone else, which made it a great spot for lunch with a friend. The turkey bacon avocado sandwich was definitely delicious, and I highly recommend it to anyone who visits. And for a soda lover like myself, the extensive collection of sodas was a real treat. Place is way overrated based on quality and reviews. The whole sandwiches are big but it doesn't make them better, nothing special. The Granny lady (hope she's not the owner) was really rude but the other employees were nice. Not a traditional Italian deli like you'd expect. NO RESTROOMS, which should be standard in 2026. Trust me food is mediocre and the location and parking are awful. Not coming back!
