The Full Moon Oyster Bar - Jamestown

My wife and I checked out this spot last weekend, specifically looking for high-quality seafood that wasn't part of a chain, and we were absolutely thrilled we did. The entire experience is centered around one massive bar where all the seating is arranged—it creates a unique, communal vibe, almost like the interactive energy you find at a hibachi grill. We loved the counter setup; it makes the atmosphere sociable and fun. The food was truly epic. The appetizers were exceptional, especially the dozen fresh-shucked oysters, which were prepared right in front of us, proving how fresh they were. We also indulged in the incredible scallops and a standout dish of crawfish and alligator cheese that was simply amazing. We ordered the steamed oysters and the Lunch salmon! It was better than I was expecting :) we went on a Saturday and there was a steady stream of people. The different types of sauces they had were incredible!! The lunch portion was smaller than expected but the salmon was yummy - I really enjoyed their asparagus. I thought it was great that they shucked the oysters in front of us. Overall, highly recommend!

If you’re looking for seafood. This place is excellent. They will also adjust the cook method to an off menu option. The potatoes and coleslaw are great! The atmosphere encourages conversation between smaller groups. Met 4 new people last visit. Had a great time! Always do! If you like dessert, they do offer a variety of cake flavors.

Me and my wife went this past weekend to try somewhere new that was not a chain and was known to have good seafood. This place was awesome! The oysters, scallops and the crawfish & alligator cheese was AMAZING! Was a Sunday and had $5 bloody Mary’s that were unreal. I love Bloody’s and would come here just for those but the food was epic, servers were great and we both wanted to go back the next day! Highly recommend.

The portion size and price for crab stuffed mushrooms are a rip off but it taste good. I was sitting at the bar and two other people got reimbursed for the oysters, they were frozen so I didn't get them. I ordered a variety of appetizers and entrees... everything else was good. I will come back to give another try.
