The Formosa Coffee

Formosa coffee shop is an absolute gem in Scarsdale, a place that instantly feels like home the moment you step inside. Jason, the owner, deserves special mention: he’s kind, welcoming and most hard-working. You can feel his care and pride in every detail, from the perfectly brewed coffee to the beautifully presented pastries. As someone who lived in France (and has rather high pastry standards!), I can say that Formosa’s pastries are exceptional and the vibe is just brilliant, cozy yet full of life. Leaving a couple of pictures of my two favorite drinks, the pistachio butter latte and the banana brûlée latte. This place deserves to be seen and shared. Thank you, Jason and team, for creating something truly special in our neighborhood.

In the beginning of January, my friend and I wanted to try a new cafe/study spot. Once we took that first sip, we fell in love! I’ve been here a few times since then, and I absolutely love it. I’m a tea drinker, and I usually just get herbal tea at other cafes, but this cafe has a variety of delicious tea drinks. My favorite is their iced London fog. Even though I don’t drink coffee myself, my friend is obsessed with their gingerbread latte (I just know she’s gonna depressed when it leaves for the season). They have the cutest little couch spot that was decorated for Christmas earlier this month. It’s not decorated anymore, but it’s still such a cozy spot with books and magazines. The employees are also the best and super friendly! Overall, a 100/10 cafe! I highly recommend it.

As many new coffee shops open, with average coffee and many over roasted beans. This new coffee shop offers really good strong but smooth coffees. They have an interesting selection of specialty coffees. My favorite is the miso oat latte.

We drove from Manhattan to try Formosa Coffee in Scarsdale. The café is cozy and inviting, but the drinks were much too sweet. The presentation was nice, but we hoped for a stronger coffee flavor to match the setup. There is NO sugar level you can choose from the menu and we had to throw the whole cup of coffee instead

Tried this spot since it was in the area and it was pretty good! The ambiance is great, lots of tables for you to come to do work or hang around. There are so many options to choose from, my friends and I got a variety to try. Tiramisu latte was presented beautifully and tasted great, the banana brûlée latte was so yummy, it didn't taste like laffy taffy artificial banana and it blended really well with the espresso. Sugar Cookie latte was on the sweeter side but none the less, delicious. I definitely will be coming back to try some items i didn't get to. I came back a month later to try the new seasonal drinks. I got the Honeycomb Tahini Latte with oatmilk. The most delicious latte, not too sweet and so creamy. It is a must!!!
