I visited The Flying Biscuit Cafe when they first opened, and it was understandably super crowded with a long wait. The take out was okay and could have been better temperature wise. I stopped by again this week, and this time I really got to take in all the awesomeness. The music selection is light, upbeat, and fun, which sets a great vibe. The staff was personable and welcoming. I loved the inspirational sayings and sunflowers on the walls—they add such a cheerful touch. The food was good overall. I ordered eggs, chicken and waffles, and French toast. The only hiccup was the waffle — it was cooked and firm on one side, but cold and soggy on the other. Not sure what happened there 🤦🏾♀️ Still a great spot in Parkside Town Commons, and I’d definitely come back.
We were greeted immediately by a young man. He was welcoming and prompt to get us seated. Our waitress was very nice and attentive as well. The food left alot to be desired. The bisquit and gravy was flavorless, the sausage had hockey puck texture and the eggs were fluffy and delicious. Probably won't revisit.
Great comfort breakfasts and nice coffee. I was sitting at the bar and the guy serving was extra helpful and professional. Kudos!
First time at this location. Saturday morning, slightly busy. Food was only a one star, our server was great, 5 stars. Wouldn't come back. I ordered my eggs sunny side up and the white was still completely uncooked around the yolk which was not noticeable from the start because of the gravy. I send it back and received the eggs properly done on an overbaked/stale biscuit that was dry and I couldn't eat. The sausage gravy was just meh and the grits didn't come with a side of butter. My husbands steak was tasteless.
I went here for brunch with my work teammates and we had a great experience. The service was good and they have very decent menu options. The Three Amigos Breakfast tacos were delicious and the complimentary biscuits with apple butter were the right combination of sweet and savory. Definitely a must-try place in the area.
