Solid 4 Star restaurant. Still needs some "updating" after the last hurricane. The atmosphere however does NOT impact the food, which was extremely good. This was our first time there and never felt rushed. For starters, we had a cup of Claim Chowder and Mussels in garlic sauce. For mains, I had the Fish & Chips and my wife had the Crab Cakes. The Clam Chowder was very delicious. There was a piece of clam or potato in every bite. Would definitely have again. My wife absolutely loved the Mussels. Definitely a sharable dish for two. The Fish & Chips was about average. The cod was certainly fresh and very flakey but was overwhelmed by the amount of oil left on the breading. Probably wouldn't order a second time. The Crab Cakes were a different story. That happens to be one of my wife's fav
I usually do not order vegetables as side order. It’s usually frozen soggy tasteless. But the broccoli was so good; steamed in a butter garlic sauce. The coconut shrimp was some of the best. We went early and there was no wait. However when we left the restaurant was full and there was a waiting line. Highly recommend. Easy walk from our hotel.
If you’re looking for a local dive in the Dania Beach area, then look no further. It was very convenient for us as we were staying at a hotel 250” away. Friendly service and large tv screens on the walls. I asked a for a medium rare steak but it was well done. Still tasted good. Everyone else was happy with their choices. I wouldn’t get their cocktails, so stick with beers.
We stopped by Fish Grill in FLL and the place was packed, with a line outside — always a good sign. The vibe is adult, relaxed, and very local. We skipped the wait and sat at the bar, where Bill — born and raised in Fort Lauderdale — took great care of us. One thing that stood out right away: the staff knows many customers by name, which gives the place a cozy, familiar feel. Even as first-timers, both the team and the regulars made us feel at home instantly. The food was fresh and delicious. We ordered clams, oysters, and what turned out to be the best crab cake I’ve ever had. They also have parking in the back, which is a nice bonus. Definitely worth a visit.
If you are lucky enough to visit and have a seat in Biggie's area, get yourself a Mojito and you are in for a GREAT day! Seriously, the food was well worth the wait, fresh amazing Mahi, well prepared drinks by a staff who never allowed for a minute. This is a must visit!
