The Firefly at Madison

Absolutely charming and relaxing! Ellie is a gracious host. This is our second stay at the cottage for my wife and I. We will enjoy staying here for years to come!

We came to Madison for a relaxing getaway and the Firefly did not disappoint. Ellie is so inviting, easy to talk to, chill, eclectic and an all around joy to rent from. The room was quaint, clean, and comfortable. We had a small issue with the AC (at no fault of the owners, these things happen) and it was handled very quickly. I fell in love with the front yard sitting area and listening to and watching the local birds under the shade of a giant white oak tree. I made friends with dozens of chickens, a couple dogs, cats, and sheep. It felt like home away from home. We will be back when we need to disconnect, re-energize, and refresh.

Hello! We needed a place to stay for one night after a surprise birthday party in local Madison. Ellie was extremely communicative and accommodating. She was friendly, welcoming, and engaged in several warm conversations with us. The room was clean and absolutely precious! Very rustic, bohemian style with quiet surroundings. The room was clean and nicely decorated. We slept very well and bedding was crisp and clean. Ellie even presented us with an autographed copy of her children's book upon check out. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks, Ellie!

Peaceful, Relaxing and Enchanting My husband found the Firefly At Madison while looking for places to stay in Georgia, the next day I called the owner Ellie and immediately felt she was my best friend! She is extremely welcoming and loving which translates into her beautiful B&B. Upon arrival we were greeted by her welcoming committee, chickens! They were as intrigued by us as we were by them. We stayed in “ The cottage” which is beautifully decorated in a French country style and incredibly comfortable. Ellie thought of every detail for what her guests may need, she made us feel at home the second we arrived. Being born and raised and still living in a rural setting, the Firefly with its southern charm and Ellie's amazing hospitality was just perfect for me. My daughter made the decision to to lodge me, my grandson and friends at the Firefly and an excellent one it was. If you like country living and need lodging near Madison, GA, the Firefly Bed and Breakfast is certainly a place to consider..I was there for nearly 4 days and was treated just like family the entire time by Ellie and her son Nathaniel. The Firefly will always be my first choice on every visit to Madison from now on...
