Lake Superior Brewing Company delivers a delightful dining experience. The Backwoods Blonde beer was a standout, bursting with flavor and perfectly refreshing. The jalapeño poppers, paired with a unique blueberry jalapeño dipping sauce, were an absolute highlight—bold, creative, and delicious. We tried the Rock Hound pizza, which was tasty but could’ve used a touch more time in the oven for that perfect crisp. Our server, Robin, was exceptional, providing attentive and friendly service that elevated the visit. Overall, this spot is a gem for a great meal and a welcoming vibe. Highly recommend!
A delicious and humble spot! Fair pricing for what you get - not an amazingly fantastic value but I think the quality of food easily makes up for it. We got a slew of apps and entrees - many of these are made from fresh in house. The pizza was very good and overloaded with toppings that made it quite filling. The ribs were a top 5 rib spot that I’ve had easily for me. They fall off the bone and are pretty simple and delicious. I don’t have ribs too often, so take my opinion with a bit of a grain of salt, but worth a try in my opinion at the least. Cheese curds, pretzels, and Scottish eggs were also very good! Only miss were some of the sides. The mash potatoes tasted pre-made, but a nitpick for sure. The beer selection was small for the night for a brewery - wasn’t a massive fan
I liked how the agates and stones were seen in the logos and design of the building. A true nod to Lake Superior. There was limited beers available today from this brewery but they did have other Michigan craft beers on tap. The food was delicious we tried the cheeseburger on a gluten free bun, white fish sandwich and white fish basket. We loved the spicy tartar sauce, very unique! Hope to be back!
Cobb salad was delicious! Onion rings also very tasty. Fun atmosphere and our server was awesome. Nice place in Grand Marais. A tad pricey but nothing egregious; they have to truck everything in since it’s out on the lake.
The whitefish platter and sandwich and they were both really yummy. We got the cheese curds and coming from Wisconsin I can say they weren’t quite as good but they were good in their own way. The atmosphere was really chill and the wait staff worked their butts off and did a great job.
