The Donut Dugout

Great donut shop went early morning on a Friday. You could smell the donuts as you walk up to the door. They have a super friendly staff. Many options of donuts from cake donuts to filled to sprinkles they have them all. You can call ahead to order or just stop in. Reasonably priced too I got two donuts for a-little over 4 dollars. I went with the apple fritter and high was good you feel the sugar melt in your mouth after a bite. I also got an old fashioned apple glazed which was a good cake donuts as well. Definitely a great stop if you’re looking for donuts.

This little Donut shop is simple in it's approach. Great Donuts. The shop is small but pleasant. No real seating. The high display cases are loaded with delicious treats. There isn't merchandise or a multi location following that people "duck" into. Nope . They serve great treats and they speak for themselves. I drive from Virginia Beach and pass plenty of donut shops to go here. I love the French Cruller made with Choux dough. The cake Donuts are awesome and my grandkids go crazy for the donut holes that are so light and airy. We will make this a regular spot. I hesitate writing this as I love to have a secret place but seriously these Donuts need to be had by all.

Nate, is the best type of small businessman. He loves what he does and he loves learning about and conversing with his patrons. INMHO his food is incredible but that's only because he's incredible. What I mean is when you love what you do and who you do it for that much there's no way you can fail. Please go get some cruellers or something anything in Maple including the cruellers. Anything you get from there will be the best I don't see how he could do any less from such a nice guy.

I’ve been to Donut Dugout several times, and it’s become a go‑to for a reason. The donuts are incredibly fresh with that perfect balance of softness and sweetness. Their classics are spot‑on, but the specialty flavors are where they really shine. The shop is clean, the staff is welcoming, and the prices are fair for the quality you get. It feels like a true neighborhood gem.

I went on a Sunday morning, and was in and out in 10 mins. First the donuts are not to big or small, but justtt right. The dounuts was fresh, soft , each bite of the filled dounts was delicious. Definitely have to try it. Location is on the backside of the ice cream spot dumars as well. I paid 10.00 for half a dozen. Which is a very reasonable price.
