The Dinner Bell

We had Sunday lunch at The Dinner Bell in McComb, Mississippi, and it was fantastic from start to finish. We only waited about 10 minutes for a table, and the Lazy Susan-style dining made sharing dishes so enjoyable. The staff was friendly and attentive, quickly refilling plates as soon as they were empty. Everything was hot, fresh, and full of flavor—the fried eggplant, fried chicken, and dessert pies were absolutely delicious. A true Southern dining experience we’ll definitely be back for!

I really enjoyed my dining experience at The Dinner Bell. The food quality and service were impeccable. I highly recommend this restaurant for an unforgettable experience.

We go here every few years because it takes us over an hour to get there. But it NEVER disappoints. Today we went and everything I had was absolutely delicious. The fried chicken was wonderful. We all enjoyed the ribs too. The fried eggplant was PERFECT!! I’d go back for that alone! The creamed corn is actual creamed corn like it’s supposed to be—not that mess people get from a can. I highly recommend it. The service was wonderful as well.

Atmosphere is nice and servers are wonderful. We were a little disappointed with the food. We noticed that everything was sweet even the vegetables. Not sure if this is the norm. As usual the fried chicken and eggplant was amazing. The chicken and dumplings were delicious too.

Our first time ever at a Dinner Bell. It was wonderful! Food was outstanding! Fried chicken, ham, corn salad, eggplant, black eyed peas, collard greens, lime beans, sweet potatoes, dumplings, squash, corn bread, BBQ ribs, rice and gravy. Plus a lot of desserts. We ate at a table with 10 other people...just like family.
