The Davidson

Tuna cones and mushroom soup were fantastic as appetizers. Local Sourdough bread was banging! Bone in Pork chop was amazing. Service at the bar was very good. Knowledge that the bartenders had about the food and drinks was very impressive. I cant wait to visit again when im in town!

Fantastic dining experience. Very pretty aesthetically but also located right in the heart of downtown so is very convenient for hopping around. Service was fantastic, great recommendations and all the food was exceptional. While simple, I cannot recommend the table side eggplant enough. The scallops were also perfectly prepared and melted like butter in our mouths. 10/10 would recommend.

The Davidson I would classify as an upscale downtown restaurant. Great atmosphere, very good service but the food was just OK for an upscale place. The yellowfin tuna app - perfect The mushroom bisque is the best soup I've ever had in my life, a solid 10/10. Scallops slightly under cooked but good. Beans good, sauce great. The fillet was a little dry and just ok, we have had better many times. Two Cosamigos were as expected. It's not "just as good" as Ruby's next door and we've had better for $$$. That said we will absolutely be back for the mushroom bisque. That was truly amazing.

Service was a 6/5 while sitting at the bar. The hospitality was unmatched they clearly care about your experience without being overbearing, and you’re never left looking around for someone. There was a nice selection of happy hour items, with portion sizes feeling correct. Great atmosphere overall. If we were locals, this would definitely be a once-a-week spot.

It’s more casual than fancy. Limited menu. The tuna cones are great. Italian chop salad has a little too much vinegar. Scallops are good but seem a bit overpriced. Service we received is average… Reserved for a birthday party but this wasn’t mentioned throughout the dining experience. Not expecting free cake slice or such but at least some acknowledgement would have been nice.
