Customer Reviews
Good small cozy restaurant. I like the vibes. I stopped on highway going to Chicago to enjoy breakfast.
I love the staff. They always make you feel welcomed and the food is really good. I recommend the country skillet !
I ordered biscuits and gravy. I got absolutely no sausage in my sausage gravy. When I asked the young man when I was checking out if this was how they normally serve biscuits and gravy he didn't know. When I asked the server, she said it was late in the morning and they must have hit the dregs. When I said they shouldn't have served that to me she could have cared less. When I said I shouldn't have to pay for what I didn't get she again didn't care less. I travel this way often and I will never stop there again. I try to frequent what appears to be a community / family owned businesses. Next time I'll hit the Denny's or IHOP
I had Jaime's omlette, which had onion, sausage and cheese with eggs. I enjoyed it and was full when I was finished. Their coffee was great. My son had pancakes, so I tried half of one and enjoyed it also. The place was packed because it was Valentine's Day morning which I enjoy because it confirms everyone likes the food.
Had a late lunch at The Country Cafe in Lafayette on a Monday, and it totally hit the spot. Walked in, got seated right away—no wait at all. My server was right there with a smile, took my drink order fast, and handed me a menu without any delay. Friendly, efficient, and exactly the kind of service you hope for when you're just looking for a good meal without the fuss. I went with the chicken fried steak, and I’ve gotta say—it didn’t disappoint one bit. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the breading had that perfect golden crunch. They ladled on just the right amount of gravy—flavorful and smooth without overpowering the dish. You could tell it was made fresh and with care, not just reheated from a freezer bag. The whole place felt clean and relaxed, like a diner that’s been quietly
