The Clay Cup

The Clay Cup is an absolute must-stop for me every time I’m in town. The atmosphere is so unique and cozy. It feels warm, welcoming, and full of charm the moment you walk in. The staff is incredibly friendly and always makes you feel right at home, which just adds to the experience. It’s the kind of place you want to linger a little longer, enjoy the vibes and come back to again and again. Truly one of my favorite spots in Altoona! ☕️✨

Love this business and their dedication to downtown Altoona. Great baristas! Excellent sandwiches and pastries. I wish the temperature of their drinks were hotter, however which is the only reason I can't give five stars.

I just stopped into the Clay Cup while I was waiting for a train. Was a delightful place to wait. The staff there is fantastic and so if the coffee. Suggestion: Post signs in the waiting area at the train station to tell travelers to walk across the street. Put them on the doors also because the station doesn't open until 9 am.

I ordered a tea online, it said it would be ready in 15 minutes, I got there and they didn't have it ready because they said that they got a new system on ordering and unless they're looking right at it when the order comes in they don't see it. So I spent my whole lunch waiting for a tea. So the girl said she wouldn't charge me, they still build my credit card. I I ordered once again online a tea and it said it would take 15 minutes, I gave them a half an hour and they still didn't start it. I will never go back to this place again and I will never recommend them. I work near their business and and used to recommend them to a lot of people, but I will never recommend them again. Whatever you do did not place an order online, chances are you will wait very long for it or not get it at all.

We love this place! The coffee is terrific and the atmosphere is pleasant. They have pottery paining opportunities but we never had the chance to try them.
