The Chicken Shack

I've been eyeing this place for a while. I was starving and wanted some yummy chicken. Well, this place showed up and I went. Cool vibes on the outside. Cool vibes on the inside too. The staff and cashier was so very nice. It was energetic in there and fun. Here is where it failed me epically. Peruvian food isn't something I know too much about, but what I got doesn't seem like something outside of LA fast food. I got the Chicken that is over some French fries, grilled onions and tomato and smothered with some SALTY soy sauce stuff or something. With jasmine rice too. The flavors were destroyed by the saltiness. As I ate it, I realized I was eating a mix match of leftovers it feels. The chicken was basic as the fries, tomatoes and onions felt sloppy. Exceptional food that comes out incredibly fast — but definitely not fast food. The Chix Fried Rice is always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Consistently delicious and a go-to spot in Hermosa when you want quality without the wait. 🔥🍗🍚

If been in Manhattan Beach for work for two months and I’ve been eating out a ton, with 100% confidence I can tell you this is my favorite spot. A nice square meal that was delicious, just like home. When it comes to rotisserie chicken, they’ve perfected their craft.

Ordered the lomo saltado when my flight got in late and I needed to door dash whatever was close. It was delicious!!! The beef was tender and the tomatoes / onions were well marinated.

I didn’t take a picture of my food this time, but the Chicken Shack is a 10/10. My go to is their beef saltado, and it is a hit every time. Also, the staff are very welcoming and friendly.
