The Chicken Coop Country Diner

Located in the same building as the gas station convenience store, this unassuming eatery offers delicious breakfast options. Order at the counter and food is delivered to your table when ready. The chicken and waffle was so good! Chicken was well-seasoned and the waffle was the perfect done-ness. The baked apples were also amazing - so much cinnamon which I loved! My husband really liked their biscuits. This was a great find for us during our stay in Corolla.

THE BEST SHRIMP AND GRITS 🙌 Took a 2 hour detour from PA to Florida specifically to stop here again. Went while On vacation over the summer been craving it ever since. WORTH THE DETOUR!! Not only did they make it for us outside of the normal lunch menu but they pre made it before our arrival 🥹 gave extra gravy and OMG it was amazing!! Thank you so much!

Good breakfast for $9. We both had The Three Little Pigs. 2 eggs, bacon, … I had Hashbrowns and hubby had the grits. He said the grits were “excellent”. The biscuits were very good. We would come back again. Still need to try the chicken and ribs.

Chicken and waffles cost $15. We got two little freezer chicken strips and a really gross waffle. We both couldn’t finish the waffle - it really wasn’t great. The syrup was the saving grace. However, the price for the quantity and quality was sad. Someone else in our party got the shrimp and it was $20 for 5 shrimp, some fries and slaw. Prices are rough for quality of food and portions. Very sad to write this as chicken coop was one of my favorites.

I did not realize it at a gas station when I was driving past it while I was looking for it 🤣 I ordered to take it out So I not have a comment for dine in but it looked cozy and relaxed. I ordered a chicken sandwich and fries and biscuits. Everything tastes so good! Good enough for me. I only thing I not like is how they cut onion. It looks like they cut and threw it there..... But it does not bother me everything else is good!
