Customer Reviews
Stopped by today on a whim, and was throughly impressed by the quality of the all organic menu, and the fair pricing. I tried the Berry Sunny smoothie, it was fresh, sweet and honestly pretty filling for a smoothie. The employees all seemed busy, (but happy), as I came in around lunch time, but they all greeted me and made sure I felt taken care of. I had a really pleasant conversation with Martika, while she rang in my order, and it really brightened my day. I will for sure be back again soon.
Why I haven't been there, ive had it delivered...absolutely amazing! The salmon... the absolutely incredible oatmeal!. Yeah its pricey...but that's because...and oddly enough ingredients that are good for you cost more....still cant figure that one out. But wow!. The Farro! Cooked to perfection.
I left the Celery stunned that their grain bowls could be *that* disappointing. I did not try their smoothies or juice. I stopped in for my first meal of the day excited to try this spot. I ordered the Harvest Moon. It was a cold bowl with slightly warm mushroom and farro. I was very confused that the bowl was mostly cold and couldn’t eat this without messing up my stomach, but I liked the sauce on the bowl. I opted to try the Rain Shadow instead. Even though I could see the steam coming off of some toppings, this was not fresh at all, it took about one minute to throw together. The tempeh was very large in proportion to the other toppings and kind of soggy and lacking in flavor. Although I was totally excited to try out this spot, I left feeling confused and upset at the lack of intent
I was very disappointed to see that the acai base for the bowls comes out of a froyo-type machine and is not made fresh. It was so frozen that i could not mix the toppings in and it didn’t have any flavor. The size of the bowl is generous and the fruit on top was yummy.
I had an amazing experience at The Celery. Their Moonrise açaí bowl is one of my regular favorites! It’s always fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully made. The customer service is consistently friendly and efficient, which makes every visit even better. I’m especially impressed by their high-quality organic ingredients, all made right in-store. It’s great to support local Portland companies that clearly care deeply about what they serve.
