The Burger Shop

Disclaimer - I want to gatekeep this stop however THEEEEE ABSOLUTE BEST FLAVORFUL BURGER IN THE DMV!!! (Don't even debate me until you GO TRY IT!!) I don't know what the owner seasoned my burger with BUT he sure sprinkled it with "Flavor, Love and Beef Drippings"... My burger was not DRY, it was juicy. My fries were Hot! And let's talk about the Guava Margarita that was made by Bartender Ron... GOOOOO GET A BURGER TODAY!!!!

This place is inside the miXt food hall in Brentwood. And the Salmon Burger is VERY good. It's a hearty patty slathered in chili mayo and pickled vegetables. Very satisfying. The setting is a little plain but it's a food hall. The quality of the food more than makes up for it.

1. Customer service is great. I called over the phone to ask about the menu and the guy who answered was great. 2. The fries were great! 3. The mushroom burger was good, except I didn’t care for the portobello mushroom itself. They do a great job of disguising the taste with the toppings, etc but unfortunately, the taste/texture of the mushroom was still way too apparent and hard to finish. I would love it if they chopped the mushroom into pieces and really grilled them down, or used grilled oyster mushroom pieces. The chili sauce was really good. Even a fried oyster mushroom marinated in that sauce would be fantastic. I wouldn’t order this burger again, but I will definitely continue to check back and see if they make any changes to the vegetarian/vegan options because I can tell they

I really try to keep some of my favorite spots of the review list but I had to give The Burger Shop the justice they deserve. The crab fries were some of the best I have ever had from freshness, taste, presentation, down to portion size. They have some really good food and would highly recommend!

Found within the Mixt Food Hall, The Burger Shop was a nice find. Reasonably priced sandwiches and sides. I enjoyed my Angus burger with a side of fried plantains (paired nicely with a sweet sauce in a cup). Friendly staff. Seating I found in the expansive wrap around bar. Good place. I hope to revisit on my next trip to the area.
